Ok, it's bee a great 3 days, and yes I'm counting it a day at a time! I just did something that I'm a little proud of, and needed to share. It's 10:30, and I thought I probably had enough calories left in my "pot" to have a few crackers and cheese, while I finish watching CSI. However, I still needed to input my dinner and dessert calories, so I sat down at the computer and filled them in. I did eat a little more than I had planned, because I was so hungry (should have had an afternoon snack!), but I was very honest, even a little generous about what went in my mouth. After totaling up everything, I only had 88 calories to spare, and that was a wake up call to me. That excess is only if I actually burned all of the calories that the computer says I did, and I calculated everything. In other words, I like to have at least a 100-200 buffer if I get exercise in, just to make sure I'm not over for the day.
Anyway, just a reminder to keep track of those calories, because just eating 100 over your daily limit will turn into fat, and 35 days later a pound! Remember, we want to strengthen our "
resistance (to bad habits) muscle" and weaken our "give-in (to bad habits) muscle".
